Greentherm Multilayer Pipe
Multi-layer pipes are an advanced solution in plumbing and heating systems, offering a combination of the best features from plastic and metallic pipes. Composed of two layers of cross-linked polyethylene (PEX), two layers of adhesive, and an intermediate layer of aluminum, these pipes are a significant evolution from traditional PEX pipes.
The incorporation of an aluminum layer provides multi-layer pipes with unique advantages. On one hand, they possess the flexibility, lightness, corrosion resistance, ease of handling, and long lifespan typically associated with plastic pipes. On the other hand, they also offer the high-temperature and pressure resistance, oxygen diffusion tightness, and shape retention of metallic pipes.
Blansol
Blansol, a trusted manufacturer, offers two types of multi-layer pipes: PEX-Al-PEX and PERT-Al-PERT. The internal and external layers of these pipes are made of cross-linked polyethylene (PEX). Compared to non-cross-linked multi-layer pipes, the PEX-Al-PEX pipes provide superior safety in unions, even under high temperatures. They eliminate the risk of leaks by withstanding demanding working conditions of up to 95ºC and 10 bars pressure.
Blansol’s PEX-Al-PEX pipes, when used in conjunction with their press-fitting system (Multipex), ensure optimal performance and maximum safety in installations. Whether it’s for residential or commercial applications, these multi-layer pipes offer reliability, durability, and peace of mind for various plumbing and heating needs.
Blansol offer the nude pipes in two different formats: coils (used normally in new installations) and bars (used mainly in the renovations).
In the insulated pipes an insulating layer of polyethylene foam is added to the multilayer pipe.
The advantages of the insulated multilayer pipes are the following:
- Thermal insulation of the pipe
- Important reduction of the noises and vibrations in the installations
- Resistance to materials used in the construction (lime, plaster, concrete…)
In the corrugated pipes the nude pipe is inserted in a red or blue polypropylene duct.
The corrugated duct provides an external protection to the multilayer pipe and lets its quick substitution in case of need with no need to break the wall.
