VIR Valves

VIR’s core business is the production and distribution of different models of valves, made of different materials and suited to many applications. VIR is committed to promoting sustainable energy solutions, while delivering the highest quality products.

VIR’s commitment to innovation is evident in their careful selection of materials, including dezincification-resistant allows (DZR brass) and certified alloys with low lead content, providing customers with traditional products in these new materials to ensure water purity and safety.

DZR Brass: Importance and Distinction

Dezincification Resistant brass plays a crucial role in plumbing and water supply systems due to its remarkable resistance to corrosion caused by dezincification. This makes it a reliable and long-lasting material, ensuring integrity and safety of plumbing connections. Unlike non-DZR brass, which may be susceptible to Graphitic Corrosion, DZR brass contains specific alloying elements, such as arsenic or phosphorus, reducing corrosion risk.

Balancing

Balancing valves are designed to control and adjust the flow of fluids in a system, allowing for precise balancing of flow rates in different branches or circuits.

Including double regulating valves (DVR) and automatic flow control valves (AFC), enables precise control and adjustment of fluit flow rates.

EZConnect

These valves are user-friendly connectors that facilitate quick and easy installation and disconnection of plumbing or piping systems, saving time and effort during maintenance or modifications

Including push-to-connect fittings and quick-connect couplings, giving easy installation and disconnection of plumbing or piping systems.

Shutoff

Also known as isolation valves, are essential devices that allow for complete closure of the flow, enabling the isolation of a section of a pipeline or system for maintenance or emergency purposes.

Including ball valves, gate valves, and butterfly valves, allow for complete closure of the flow.

Regulating and Control

Engineered to precisely manage the flow rate, pressure, or temperature of fluids within a system, offering reliable control and optimisation of process parameters.

Includes diaphragm valves and control ball valves, offering accurate management of flow rate, pressure, and/or temperature.

Gate, Globe, and Check

These valves are fundamental types used in pipelines. Gate valves control the flow by raising or lowering a gate. Globe valves regulate flow with a movable disc, and check valves allow one-way flow, preventing back flow.

Strainers

Devices that capture and remove debris, sediment, or unwanted particles from fluid flow, safeguarding downstream equipment and ensuring the smooth operation of the system.

Includes Y-strainers, basket strainers, and duplex strainers, for best removal of unwanted sediment.

Flexible Joints and Air Vents

Also known as expansion joints, accommodate movement and vibration in piping systems, while air vents or air release valves eliminate air pockets from the system, promoting efficient and uninterrupted flow.

Includes expansion joints and flexible couplings, which accommodate for movement and vibration.

Gas

Gas valves are specialised valves designed for controlling the flow of gases, such as natural gas or propane, ensuring safe and efficient distribution and utilisation.

Includes ball valves, solenoid valves, and safety valves, designed specifically for the flow of gases.

Polypropylene

Valves that are made from a durable thermopalstic material that offer excellent chemical resistance. Widely used in various industrial applications, including water treatment, chemical processing, and irrigation systems.

Includes ball valves, butterfly valves, and diaphragm valves, offering excellent chemical resistance and relaibility.
